Hoya rotundiflora is a delightful Hoya species cherished for its unique rounded flowers and compact growth habit. This charming Hoya is native to the Philippines and is a wonderful addition to any plant collection.
Distinctive Features
- Leaves: Small, ovate leaves with a deep green colour and a slightly succulent texture. The leaves are typically 4-6 cm (1.5-2.5 inches) long and 2-3 cm (0.75-1.25 inches) wide.
- Flowers: Produces clusters of small, rounded flowers with a delicate white to pale pink colour. The flowers have a sweet fragrance and a distinctive star-shaped corona.
- Growth Habit: This Hoya has a compact, vining growth habit. It can be grown in a hanging basket or trained to climb a small trellis or support.
Care Tips
- Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Some direct morning or evening sun can encourage flowering.
- Water: Allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Avoid overwatering, which can lead to root rot.
- Humidity: This Hoya appreciates moderate to high humidity. You can increase humidity by using a humidifier, placing the plant on a pebble tray, or misting the leaves regularly.
- Temperature: Maintain warm temperatures between 18-29°C (65-85°F) for optimal growth.
- Fertiliser: Use a balanced liquid fertiliser monthly during the spring and summer growing seasons.
- Repotting: Repot every 1-2 years as needed, using a well-draining potting mix.

Dispatch day is Tuesday/Wednesday, orders placed after Monday will be sent the following week. WA, NT and Tas cut off day is Thursday for the following week dispatch as our treatment processes are done of a Friday.
