Adromischus cristatus var. zeyherii

Adromischus cristatus var. zeyherii is a natural variety of Adromischus cristatus, native to the Eastern Cape of South Africa where it grows on rocky slopes in well-drained soils. This variety develops compact clusters of short stems bearing fleshy, triangular leaves with slightly wavy or crimped margins, though the leaves are typically smaller and narrower than those of the typical form. The foliage is covered in a fine surface texture, sometimes with a silvery bloom. In summer, slender inflorescences arise with small tubular flowers that are greenish-white with purplish tips, though the plant is most valued for its distinctive leaf form.
