Adromischus triflorus

Adromischus triflorus is a dwarf succulent species in the Crassulaceae, native to South Africa where it grows among rocky outcrops and gravelly soils. It forms small clumps of fleshy, grey-green leaves often patterned with darker spots or mottling. The leaves are somewhat flattened and may develop a reddish tinge in strong light. In its native range, the plant produces delicate flowering stems, each bearing up to three small tubular flowers, typically pale green to white with purple tips. This trait is the basis of its name, meaning "three-flowered."
Care Tips
- Light: Prefers bright light to full sun for compact growth and well-defined leaf markings.
- Water: Water lightly and allow soil to dry fully between applications; reduce further in cooler months.
- Media: Plant in a sharply draining sandy or gritty mix to prevent excess moisture around roots.
- Fertiliser: Apply a diluted cactus or succulent fertiliser during active growth for healthy leaves and flowering.
- Temperature: Best kept in warm, dry conditions; shelter from frost and prolonged dampness.
- Repotting: Repot every few years to refresh soil; propagation is straightforward from detached leaves left to callus before planting.
