Aglaonema pictum ‘Tricolor’ is a distinctive foliage plant known for its camouflage-like patterning in several shades of green. Each leaf develops an irregular mix of dark green, mid-green and pale green markings, with no two plants appearing exactly alike.
This is a slower-growing Aglaonema that performs best in warm, humid conditions with bright, filtered light. The amount and placement of the pale markings will vary naturally between leaves and individual plants.
Care
Light: Provide bright, indirect light. Lower light may reduce the contrast in the foliage, while harsh direct sun may scorch the leaves.
Water: Water thoroughly, then allow the upper layer of media to begin drying before watering again. Avoid keeping the roots constantly wet.
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity with regular air movement.
Media: Use a loose, free-draining tropical plant mix with good aeration around the roots.
Temperature: Best grown in warm conditions. Protect from cold temperatures, particularly below approximately 15°C.
Fertiliser: Apply a weak, balanced liquid fertiliser during active growth.
