Tillandsia brachycaulos
Air Plant, Bromeliad, Tillandsia brachycaulos
Tillandsia brachycaulos is a variable plant which comes from Mexico through Central America.
There are various forms. Ours has very green leaves (for this species) and is one of the larger forms. It can reach 25 to 30 cm across, blushing bright red on flowering.
While some have had some success with T.brachycaulos outside over winter in the southern states, we recommend that it be grown inside over winter in Victoria or colder regions.
Please use the images only as an example of the Tillandsias characteristics. Size, colour and pricing may vary depending on availability and maturity.
