'The Spiral Aloe'
One of the most famous of Aloe family, this once extremely rare species make an amazing garden plant with a solitary stemless head up to 60cm across.
Leaves are soft so they are harmless. They can mature at 10 to 20 years of age. Flowers are red on short thick stems.
Position - full sun or partial shade. Great in gardens, borders, rockeries, in pots they will stop growing if not fed and watered well. Indoors only in well-lit positions otherwise they will lose their nice shape.
Watering -can be watered all year round and grows most of the year. Plants prefer to be kept moist for most of the year and will form brown tips when dry.
Feeding - 25% to 50% of recommended dosage monthly in growing period. The less fertiliser, the better the shape of the plant.
Repotting - Yearly into larger pots or use regular liquid fertilisers to keep plants growing.
