Begonia rex 'Indian Summer' is a foliage cultivar within the Begonia rex-cultorum group, appreciated for its warm-toned leaves that vary from copper and bronze to red and silver, often with distinct zonation or marbling. The leaves are large, asymmetrical, and spiralled at the base, with fine serrations along the edges. This hybrid originates from a lineage of forest-dwelling Begonia species native to north-east India and surrounding regions, but the cultivar itself is a product of ornamental breeding.
Care Tips:
- Light: Best in bright, indirect light; colour intensity may fade in deep shade

- Temperature: Keep within 18-24°C; sensitive to cold and sudden changes
- Fertiliser: Apply diluted balanced fertiliser every 3-4 weeks during growth period
- Repotting: Repot in spring when rhizomes crowd the pot or growth slows
