Begonia rex 'Maui Sunset' is a cultivated hybrid belonging to the Begonia rex-cultorum group, valued for its multicoloured foliage that often reflects soft peach, rose, and silver tones. The leaves are broad and asymmetrical, frequently exhibiting a spiralled base and finely serrated margins. Pigmentation is typically strongest at the centre, with darker zoning or venation accentuating the contrast. Like other members of its group, it is descended from species native to humid, forested regions of the eastern Himalayas and southern China.

Humidity: Requires consistent humidity above 50%; dry air can damage leaf edges

Fertiliser: Feed every 3–4 weeks in warmer months with a diluted balanced fertiliser
