Cattleya Alliance Rlc Golf Green 'Hair Pig'
cancel Sold out
Rlc. Golf Green 'Hair Pig' is a well-known clone within the Cattleya alliance, noted for its large, greenish-yellow flowers with a frilled lip and heavy substance. The flowers typically have broad, overlapping segments and a waxy texture, contributing to their longevity. The lip is usually lighter or more chartreuse in tone, occasionally displaying subtle veining or a creamy throat. Blooms are borne singly or in pairs on strong, upright inflorescences emerging from mature pseudobulbs.
Care Tips:
- Light: Requires bright, filtered light. Some morning sun is beneficial; avoid harsh midday exposure.
- Water: Water thoroughly when media is nearly dry. Do not keep roots constantly wet.
- Humidity: Prefers 50–70% humidity with good air circulation to discourage rot.
- Media: Medium-grade orchid bark or a well-draining Cattleya mix.
- Temperature: Best in intermediate to warm conditions, typically 15–28 °C.
- Fertiliser: Use diluted orchid fertiliser every 2–3 weeks during the growing season. Flush periodically to avoid salt build-up.
- Repotting: Repot every 2 years or when media breaks down, ideally just as new roots begin to grow.
