Rlc. Siam White 'The Best' is a named clone in the Cattleya alliance, producing large, white flowers with broad, overlapping petals and a full, rounded lip. The lip often carries a subtle hint of yellow in the throat, enhancing the contrast against the pristine white segments. Flowers are typically long-lasting and held on upright inflorescences emerging from mature pseudobulbs. This clone is well-suited to growers who can provide bright light and a regular wet-dry cycle.

Care Tips:

  • Light: Prefers bright, filtered light. A few hours of gentle morning sun can promote flowering.
  • Water: Water thoroughly once the medium has nearly dried. Avoid prolonged wet conditions.
  • Humidity: Maintain 50–70% humidity with good airflow to prevent fungal issues.
  • Media: Medium-grade orchid bark or a well-drained Cattleya-specific mix.
  • Temperature: Grows well in intermediate to warm conditions, typically 15–28 °C.
  • Fertiliser: Apply diluted orchid fertiliser every 2–3 weeks during the growing season. Reduce feeding during dormancy.
  • Repotting: Repot every 2 years or when the media breaks down, ideally just as new root growth begins.

Plant Health Certification (PHC) Fees:

  • $20 fee applies to WA orders.
  • $10 fee applies to NT and TAS orders.

This fee is per order (not per plant) and is included in your shipping cost at checkout. It covers the mandatory biosecurity treatments (ICA-29, PS-27, ICA-62) required for interstate compliance.
