Nepenthes paradisia hybrids
check_circle In Stock
A remarkable group of insect eating plants that form unique pitchers on the end of each leaf that have the ability to collect and digest insects.
The nepenthes in this range are cold tolerant hybrids that can be grown in southern states with minimal care.
Nepenthes are best grown under covered, partly sheltered positions with about 50% shade. In colder climates they must be under cover over winter, and in extreme weather they may be better moved indoors over winter. They may be kept indoors permanently but require some direct sunlight.
Nepenthes must be kept moist or wet at all times; fertilise only with a weak solution; repot only into peat moss and or sphagnum moss. Pitchers will only form if there is sufficient moisture in the air; if traps do not appear move plant into an area with less air movement.
Pitchers do not need to be filled with water; the plant will produce its own liquid. Remove older pitchers only when completely dried
