Crassula 'Baby’s Surprise'
check_circle In Stock
Crassula 'Baby’s Surprise' is a slow-growing miniature succulent forming compact clusters of tightly packed, rounded leaves. Mature plants remain relatively small, generally reaching around 10 cm high while gradually producing additional stems from the base.
The closely spaced foliage gives the plant a dense, stacked appearance, with stronger light helping maintain its compact shape and encouraging subtle pink to red colouring around the leaf tips.
Care
- Light: Grow in bright light to gentle morning sun. Good light helps maintain compact growth and foliage colour. Protect from harsh afternoon sun.
- Water: Water thoroughly, then allow the potting mix to dry well before watering again. Plants tolerate extended dry periods and generally remain more compact when grown on the dry side.
- Media: Use a coarse, free-draining cactus and succulent mix.
- Temperature: Suitable for protected outdoor growing in mild climates. It can tolerate mild frost, but protection from prolonged cold and wet conditions is recommended.
- Feeding: Feed lightly during active growth. Excess nitrogen can produce larger, softer growth with reduced colour.
