Cryptanthus 'Marian Oppenheimer' is a cultivar appreciated for its broad, arching leaves with deep red tones marked by soft pink to pale green banding. Like other members of the Cryptanthus genus, it forms a flat, star-shaped rosette close to the surface, a characteristic growth form suited to indoor displays. Species within this group originate from Brazil, where they grow in shaded habitats, and this cultivar inherits the compact stature typical of the genus, usually remaining under 20 cm in diameter.
Water - Keep slightly moist but avoid waterlogging; allow the top layer to dry briefly between waterings
Humidity - Prefers moderate to high humidity; mist or use a humidity tray if grown indoors
Media - Use a free-draining, slightly acidic bromeliad mix
Temperature - Thrives at 18-27 °C, avoiding cold drafts
Fertiliser - Apply diluted liquid fertiliser monthly during the growing season
Repotting - Repot when offsets fill the pot, usually every 2-3 years

Tuesday Dispatch: Orders placed by Sunday 11:59 PM AEST.
Friday Dispatch: Orders placed by Wednesday 11:59 PM AEST.
Orders placed after these cut-offs will be dispatched on the next available day.
Plant Health Certification (PHC) Fees:
$20 fee applies to WA orders.
$10 fee applies to NT and TAS orders.
This fee is per order (not per plant) and is included in your shipping cost at checkout. It covers the mandatory biosecurity treatments (ICA-29, PS-27, ICA-62) required for interstate compliance.
