Cymbidium Artistic Impression 'Snow Drops' is a selected cultivar from the grex Cymbidium Artistic Impression, registered in 1994 by Guest. It is a hybrid of Cymbidium Pendragon × Cymbidium Tom Thumb. This cultivar is known for its elegant, antique cream flowers with delicately patterned lips, borne on multiple long cascading spikes. It flowers from early July and performs reliably in pots under cool to temperate conditions.

Care Notes

  • Position: Bright filtered light or morning sun; avoid harsh afternoon exposure
  • Water: Maintain even moisture during growth; reduce watering in winter
  • Potting: Use a free-draining orchid bark mix; not suitable for garden beds
  • Feeding: Feed fortnightly in active growth; switch to bloom formula approaching flowering
  • Climate: Suitable for cool to temperate climates; protect from frost
  • Repotting: Every 2–3 years after flowering or when rootbound

Biosecurity States (WA, NT, TAS): These orders require mandatory biosecurity treatment (PHC) and follow a specific weekly schedule:

  • Cut-off: Orders must be placed by Thursday 11:59 PM AEST.
  • Dispatch Day: Orders are processed over the weekend and dispatched on Tuesday.

Plant Health Certification (PHC) Fees:

  • $20 fee applies to WA orders.
  • $10 fee applies to NT and TAS orders. This fee is per order (not per plant) and is included in your shipping costat checkout.
