Cymbidium 'Golden Girl' is a selected cultivar from the grex Cymbidium (Sleepy Sarah × Valley Splash). This unregistered hybrid brings together the strong growth and floriferous nature of Cymbidium Sleepy Sarah (registered 2007 by Paradisia Nurs., from Cym. Sarah Jean × Cym. Sleeping Nymph) with the bold colouration of Cymbidium Valley Splash (registered 1991 by Valley Orchids, from Cym. Vivacious × Cym. Hazel Tyers). It is distinguished by large golden flowers with a broad, pink-fringed lip. Best grown in pots in cool to temperate climates.
Care Notes
- Position: Bright filtered light or light morning sun.
- Water: Keep moist during active growth; reduce in winter.
- Potting: Use a free-draining orchid mix; never plant in garden beds.
- Feeding: Fertilise fortnightly during growth; switch to bloom booster in early autumn.
- Climate: Suited to cool to temperate conditions (ideally 7–25°C).
- Repotting: Every 2–3 years after flowering or when overcrowded.

- Dispatch Day: All orders are dispatched on Tuesdays.
- Cut-off for Same Week Dispatch: Orders must be placed by Monday 7am (AEST) to be sent that week. Orders placed after this will be dispatched the following Tuesday.
WA, NT & TAS Orders
- Cut-off: Orders to WA, NT and TAS must be placed by Friday 7am (AEST) to be included in the following week’s dispatch.
- Treatment & Delay: These orders require biosecurity treatment and certification, which is completed each Friday. Please allow an additional 1–2 weeks for processing.
Plant Health Certification (PHAC) Fees
- $20 fee applies to WA orders.
- $10 fee applies to NT and TAS orders.
- This fee is per order (not per plant) and is included in your shipping cost at checkout.
