Cymbidium Wallacia 'Burnt Gold' is a selected cultivar from the grex Cymbidium Wallacia, bred from Cymbidium Warona × Cymbidium Alnwick Castle. This hybrid was registered by Wondabah in 1974 and is known for its rich bronze-hued blooms and suitability to cool to temperate climates. It is strictly a pot-grown variety, thriving under filtered light with seasonal care adjustments.
Care Notes
- Position: Bright filtered light or gentle morning sun
- Water: Maintain regular watering during growth; reduce slightly in winter
- Potting: Use a free-draining orchid bark mix; never plant in garden beds
- Feeding: Fortnightly during growth; switch to bloom booster as spikes form
- Climate: Cool to temperate; protect from frost and harsh heat
- Repotting: Every 2–3 years after flowering or when pot-bound

- Treatment & Delay: These orders require biosecurity treatment and certification, which is completed each Friday. Please allow an additional 1–2 weeks for processing.
Plant Health Certification (PHAC) Fees
- $20 fee applies to WA orders.
- $10 fee applies to NT and TAS orders.
- This fee is per order (not per plant) and is included in your shipping cost at checkout.
