Dionaea muscipula ‘Chest Hair’ is an uncommon Venus Flytrap clone that is rarely seen in cultivation. As this clone is not widely documented, its distinguishing characteristics are still being evaluated within our collection.
Like all Venus Flytraps, it produces insect-catching traps that vary in size, colour, and form throughout the growing season. Mature plants are expected to develop their most characteristic features under strong light and over successive seasons.
As with all Venus Flytraps, seasonal variation is normal. Plants enter winter dormancy each year, producing shorter leaves and fewer active traps before resuming vigorous growth in spring.
