Dionaea muscipula 'Shark’s Teeth' – Venus Flytrap
check_circle In Stock
Dionaea muscipula ‘Shark’s Teeth’ is a distinctive Venus Flytrap clone named for its short, jagged marginal teeth that resemble the serrated edge of a shark’s jaw.
Unlike standard Venus Flytraps with long, lash-like teeth, this clone produces compact traps with broad, triangular marginal teeth. Trap size is typically small to medium, with the modified teeth being the primary feature of interest.
Trap Form & Appearance
‘Shark’s Teeth’ retains a generally classic trap shape, with the altered marginal teeth creating its distinctive look. Tooth expression is usually stable, though individual traps may vary slightly in size and definition depending on season and growing conditions.
Colour Notes
Trap colour is generally green to lightly blushed, with interior colour developing under strong light. This clone is grown primarily for its unusual tooth form rather than intense red colouration.
Growth Notes
Growth is steady but not fast, and plants tend to form neat clumps over time. As with all Venus Flytraps, seasonal variation in trap size and colour is normal, particularly between active summer growth and cooler periods.
Please note: Images are representative of the clone type. Individual plants and traps will vary slightly in size and appearance.
