Echeveria purpusorum
check_circle In Stock
Echeveria purpusorum is a compact rosette-forming succulent native to Puebla and Oaxaca in southern Mexico, where it grows on rocky slopes and among leaf litter in partially shaded conditions. Unlike many other Echeveria species, its foliage is marked with darker speckles and remains relatively upright and firm. The plant has adapted to seasonal dry periods and benefits from filtered light under sparse canopy cover in its native habitat.
Care Tips:
- Light: Prefers bright, indirect light or partial sun; protect from intense midday exposure
- Water: Water deeply but infrequently; allow the soil to dry thoroughly between waterings
- Humidity: Thrives in low humidity; avoid excess moisture around the rosette
- Media: Use a porous succulent mix with added grit or perlite for drainage
- Temperature: Ideal range is 10–27 °C; avoid frost
- Fertiliser: Feed sparingly during active growth with a diluted, balanced fertiliser
- Repotting: Repot every 2–3 years or when the plant outgrows its container
