Echeveria unguiculata is a compact succulent species native to the limestone slopes of Coahuila, Mexico. It forms solitary rosettes of narrow, bluish-green leaves that taper to a distinctive claw-like tip, reflected in its name meaning "bearing a claw." Unlike many Echeveria species that form clusters, this one remains solitary for longer, making it popular as a specimen plant. Flowering occurs in spring to early summer, with reddish to orange blooms held just above the foliage. Its preference for alkaline, free-draining soils comes from its natural habitat on limestone terrain.
Care Tips:
Light - Prefers bright, indirect light to full sun for best growth.
Water - Allow soil to dry completely between watering; reduce watering during cooler months.
Humidity - Tolerates low humidity well.
Media - Use a well-draining cactus and succulent mix, ideally with added lime chips to mimic native soil.
Temperature - Thrives in temperatures from 15-27 °C; protect from frost.
Fertiliser - Apply a balanced, diluted fertiliser during the growing season.
Repotting - Repot when rootbound or when soil becomes compacted, generally every 2-3 years.

Plant Health Certification (PHC) Fees:
$20 fee applies to WA orders.
$10 fee applies to NT and TAS orders.
