Echinocereus genthyi (syn. Echinocereus scheeri) is a Mexican species cactus forming narrow, upright stems with smooth green ribs and fine, evenly spaced areoles. At this juvenile stage it remains compact, developing into a more substantial column as it matures.
Care
- Light: Bright light to full sun once acclimated
- Water: Water during the warmer months; allow the mix to dry between waterings
- Temperature: Warm growing season; keep dry and protect from frost in winter
- Media: Very free-draining cactus mix with a high mineral content
- Feeding: Light feeding during active growth
