Echinopsis lageniformis f. monstrosa cristata ‘TBMC’ (syn. Trichocereus bridgesii) is an unusual crested and monstrose form characterised by folded, fan-like growth and dense, sculptural ridges. Each plant develops a unique form, with no two specimens ever identical.
This form is slow-growing and valued primarily for its architectural shape rather than flowers. It is well suited to collectors of monstrose and crested cacti who appreciate oddities and long-term specimens.
Care
Light: Bright light with some gentle direct sun. Avoid sudden exposure to harsh midday sun.
Water: Water sparingly. Allow the potting mix to dry fully between watering.
Temperature: Warm growing season. Protect from frost and prolonged cold.
Growing media: Very free-draining cactus mix with added mineral content.
Feeding: Light feeding during active growth only. Top dress with dolomite lime annually.
