Epiphyllum 'Kiwi Thrillseeker' is a hybrid orchid cactus with vivid, multi-layered blooms. The plant has the flattened, segmented stems characteristic of epiphyllums, adapted from species native to the forests of Central and South America. Its flowers are large and striking, with outer petals in bright red tones and inner layers flushed with hot pink and magenta, forming a strong colour contrast. The flowers open fully and are usually produced in the warmer months.

- Stems: Flattened, segmented stems that resemble leaves. The stems are typically a bright green colour and have a waxy texture.
- Flowers: Produces large, showy flowers in a vibrant crimson colour. The flowers have a beautiful, open shape resembling a sunburst and a delicate fragrance.
- Growth Habit: This Epiphyllum has a pendant, epiphytic growth habit. It naturally grows on trees and other surfaces, using its aerial roots to cling to the bark. It can also be grown in hanging baskets or on shelves where its stems can cascade gracefully.
Care Tips
- Light: Bright, indirect light is best. Avoid harsh direct sunlight, which can scorch the stems.
- Water: Allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. During the flowering period, keep the soil evenly moist but not soggy.
- Humidity: This Epiphyllum appreciates moderate to high humidity. You can increase humidity by using a humidifier, placing the plant on a pebble tray filled with water, or misting the stems regularly.
- Temperature: Maintain warm temperatures between 18-24°C (65-75°F). Avoid exposing this cactus to cold draughts or frost.
- Fertiliser: Use a diluted cactus fertiliser once a month during the growing season (spring and summer).
- Potting: This cactus can be grown in a pot or mounted on a piece of bark or cork. Use a well-draining epiphytic potting mix.

- Friday Dispatch: Orders placed by Wednesday 11:59 PM AEST. Orders placed after these cut-offs will be dispatched on the next available day.
Biosecurity States (WA, NT, TAS): These orders require mandatory biosecurity treatment (PHC) and follow a specific weekly schedule:
- Cut-off: Orders must be placed by Thursday 11:59 PM AEST.
- Dispatch Day: Orders are processed over the weekend and dispatched on Tuesday.
Plant Health Certification (PHC) Fees:
- $20 fee applies to WA orders.
- $10 fee applies to NT and TAS orders. This fee is per order (not per plant) and is included in your shipping costat checkout.
