WA Restricted - Cannot be shipped to Western Australia.
Euphorbia enopla Variegated is a cultivated form of the South African species, distinguished by stems with irregular cream to yellow streaks and patches contrasting against the typical green colouring. This variegation highlights the plant’s upright, branching growth habit, which is lined with prominent reddish to burgundy spines along the ribs. The stems tend to grow densely from the base, creating a candelabra-like appearance. Like the typical form, it produces small, yellow-green cyathia (flowers) near the stem tips during the warmer months.
Care Tips:
- Light – Provide bright light to full sun to maintain strong variegation and compact growth.
- Water – Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry thoroughly between watering; reduce watering during cooler months.
- Humidity – Tolerates low humidity and prefers good airflow.
- Media – Use a gritty, free-draining cactus and succulent mix to prevent root rot.
- Temperature – Grow between 15–27 °C; protect from frost.
- Fertiliser – Apply a diluted, balanced fertiliser during active growth to support healthy stem and spine development.
- Repotting – Repot every 2–3 years or when the plant outgrows its container, taking care due to the brittle branches and sharp spines.
Additional Notes
- Known to be toxic
