WA Restricted - Cannot be shipped to Western Australia.
Euphorbia lactea is an angular, columnar succulent native to India and Sri Lanka, typically occurring in arid scrublands and rocky soils. This cultivar is the 'Grey Ghost' form of Euphorbia lactea, selected for its unusually pale, bluish-grey stems with faint green marbling. The colouration is more muted compared to the common variegated forms, and the stems often appear chalky or powder-dusted. It develops short spines along the ridge crests and may occasionally produce transient, rudimentary leaves near growth tips.
Care Tips:
- Light – Prefers high light levels; tolerates full sun with acclimation
- Water – Water sparingly; ensure the soil dries out fully between watering
- Humidity – Best suited to dry indoor or outdoor environments
- Media – Requires a sharply-drained cactus or mineral-based mix
- Temperature – Should be kept above 10°C; protect from frost
- Fertiliser – Feed with a diluted cactus fertiliser during warmer months only
- Repotting – Repot infrequently; avoid disturbing roots unless necessary
Additional Notes:
- Known to be toxic
