Euphorbia milii 'Lucky Lady' is a selected cultivar of Euphorbia milii, native to Madagascar, where the species is found growing on dry rocky hillsides and in thorn scrub. 'Lucky Lady' is distinguished by its rounded bracts in soft pink to coral tones, which encircle the small floral cyathia. This cultivar has a bushy, compact form with semi-woody, thorn-covered stems and broad, slightly glossy green leaves. It is frequently grown in containers for ornamental use and flowers best in high light and warm conditions.
Care Tips:
- Light: Needs full sun or very bright light to bloom effectively
- Water: Water when the top layer of soil is dry; avoid waterlogging
- Humidity: Tolerates dry indoor air; excessive humidity not required
- Media: Use a free-draining mix with coarse sand or pumice added
- Temperature: Optimal range is 20-30 °C; avoid temperatures below 10 °C
- Fertiliser: Feed monthly during active growth using a diluted, balanced fertiliser
- Repotting: Repot every few years or when the plant becomes rootbound
