WA Restricted - Cannot be shipped to Western Australia.
Euphorbia milii variegata is a cultivated form of Euphorbia milii, a species native to Madagascar where it grows in dry, rocky terrain. This selection is grown for its ornamental foliage, with broad, succulent leaves marked by irregular patches of creamy-yellow variegation alongside green. The stems are woody and covered in sharp grey thorns, typical of the species. Small cyathia are produced intermittently throughout the year and are surrounded by reddish to pink bracts, particularly when the plant is kept in warm, sunny conditions.
Care Tips:
- Light: Requires full sun or bright filtered light to maintain leaf variegation and encourage flowering
- Water: Water moderately, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings
- Humidity: Prefers dry air; avoid environments with high humidity
- Media: Use a fast-draining cactus or succulent mix
- Temperature: Performs best between 20-30 °C; avoid temperatures below 10 °C
- Fertiliser: Feed with a diluted balanced fertiliser during the growing season
- Repotting: Repot every 2-3 years or when the plant becomes rootbound
Additional Notes:
- Known to be toxic
