Euphorbia suzannae
check_circle In Stock
Euphorbia suzannae is a compact, clump-forming succulent species from Madagascar, valued for its dense, architectural growth and strong collector appeal. Unlike columnar Euphorbias, this species forms a low mound of tightly packed stems that slowly expand outward over time.
Each stem is ribbed and armed with small paired spines along the ridges, giving the plant a distinctly sculptural appearance. Plants typically remain low and wide rather than tall, making Euphorbia suzannae an excellent choice for collectors who enjoy structured forms without excessive height.
This species is slow growing but reliable, and mature plants develop attractive multi-headed clusters that improve with age. As with all Euphorbias, the milky latex sap is toxic and plants should be handled with care.
Growing Conditions
Euphorbia suzannae prefers bright light to full sun, which encourages compact growth and good spine development. Plants should be grown in a very free-draining mineral-based mix and watered sparingly, allowing the pot to dry completely between waterings.
During cooler months, watering should be reduced significantly. This species is best protected from frost and prolonged cold, especially when grown in pots.
Pot Size & Plant Notes
Plants are supplied established in approximately 66 mm pots. Each plant is unique and may vary slightly in shape, number of heads, and overall size from the photos shown.
