WA Restricted - Cannot be shipped to Western Australia.
Euphorbia trigona is a species originating from central Africa, although its precise native range remains uncertain as it is often considered a cultigen. It's noted for its vertical, three-angled stems with smooth edges lined by paired spines and narrow, deciduous green leaves that grow along the ridges. It develops an upright, candelabra-like structure over time, forming multiple branches from the base. Commonly grown as a houseplant or outdoor container specimen in warm climates, it is highly drought-tolerant and fast-growing under favourable conditions.
Care Tips:
- Light: Prefers bright light to full sun; can adapt to filtered indoor light
- Water: Allow soil to dry completely between waterings; sensitive to overwatering
- Humidity: Tolerates dry air well; no added humidity required
- Media: Use a fast-draining cactus or succulent mix with added mineral grit
- Temperature: Grows best between 20–30 °C; protect from temperatures below 10 °C
- Fertiliser: Apply a diluted, balanced fertiliser during spring and summer
- Repotting: Repot every 2–3 years or when roots fill the container
Additional Notes:
- Known to be toxic
