Euphorbia trigona is a species originating from central Africa, although its precise native range remains uncertain as it is often considered a cultigen. It's noted for its vertical, three-angled stems with smooth edges lined by paired spines and narrow, deciduous green leaves that grow along the ridges. It develops an upright, candelabra-like structure over time, forming multiple branches from the base. Commonly grown as a houseplant or outdoor container specimen in warm climates, it is highly drought-tolerant and fast-growing under favourable conditions.

Care Tips:

  • Light: Prefers bright light to full sun; can adapt to filtered indoor light
  • Water: Allow soil to dry completely between waterings; sensitive to overwatering
  • Humidity: Tolerates dry air well; no added humidity required
  • Media: Use a fast-draining cactus or succulent mix with added mineral grit
  • Temperature: Grows best between 20–30 °C; protect from temperatures below 10 °C
  • Fertiliser: Apply a diluted, balanced fertiliser during spring and summer
  • Repotting: Repot every 2–3 years or when roots fill the container

  • Tuesday Dispatch: Orders placed by Sunday 11:59 PM AEST.
  • Friday Dispatch: Orders placed by Wednesday 11:59 PM AEST.

Orders placed after these cut-offs will be dispatched on the next available day.

Plant Health Certification (PHC) Fees:

  • $20 fee applies to WA orders.
  • $10 fee applies to NT and TAS orders.

This fee is per order (not per plant) and is included in your shipping cost at checkout. It covers the mandatory biosecurity treatments (ICA-29, PS-27, ICA-62) required for interstate compliance.
