Fenestraria rhopalophylla 'Baby Toes' subs. aurantiaca is a captivating, small succulent native to the arid regions of Namibia and South Africa. This distinctive species features compact, upright, cylindrical leaves with translucent "windows" at their tips, which allow light to penetrate deep inside for photosynthesis. Unlike its more common counterpart, this subspecies produces striking yellow to orange flowers, adding a vibrant splash of colour to its already fascinating appearance.

Care Tips
Light: Requires full sun to partial shade, with at least 4-6 hours of direct sunlight daily.
Water: Water sparingly; allow the soil to dry completely between waterings. Reduce watering in winter.
Humidity: Prefers dry conditions with good airflow.
Media: Well-draining, sandy or gritty cactus mix is ideal.
Temperature: Thrives in warm temperatures between 18-30°C but can tolerate brief dips to around 5°C.
Fertiliser: Use a diluted succulent fertiliser once a month during the growing season.
Repotting: Repot only when necessary, as it prefers to be root-bound.

Biosecurity States (WA, NT, TAS): These orders require mandatory biosecurity treatment (PHC) and follow a specific weekly schedule:
Cut-off: Orders must be placed by Thursday 11:59 PM AEST.
Dispatch Day: Orders are processed over the weekend and dispatched on Tuesday.
Plant Health Certification (PHC) Fees:
$20 fee applies to WA orders.
$10 fee applies to NT and TAS orders. This fee is per order (not per plant) and is included in your shipping costat checkout.
