Fittonias are colourful rainforest creepers that love to mix things up. One batch of cuttings can throw white, yellow, pink, green and red, from fine netted veins to broad colour panels. They crawl and root as they travel, take pruning in stride, wilt dramatically when dry and bounce back after a proper soak. Keep light soft, moisture even and the air warm and humid to keep patterns crisp.
Fittonia 'Red Flame' carries warm red foliage with vivid crimson venation, the veins branching clearly across each leaf. The leaves are rounded to oval, and the colouring deepens as the plant matures, giving a fiery tone that distinguishes it from other forms.
Care Tips:
Light: Prefers moderate to bright indirect light; avoid prolonged direct sun.
Water: Keep the soil evenly moist; do not allow to dry out fully.
Humidity: High humidity is essential to maintain leaf quality.
Temperature: Maintain warmth between 18-24°C, protect from cold drafts.
Fertiliser: Feed lightly with a diluted fertiliser during the growing months.
