Glottiphyllum oligocarpum is a compact, winter-growing mesemb forming low clumps of thick, tongue-shaped leaves. It is valued for its neat growth habit and bright yellow daisy-like flowers, which appear during the cooler months.

Care

  • Light: Full sun to bright light. Some light shade may be beneficial in very hot conditions.
  • Water: Water sparingly during active growth in autumn and winter, allowing the mix to dry fully between watering. Keep mostly dry through summer dormancy.
  • Temperature: Prefers cool to mild conditions while growing. Protect from heavy or prolonged frost.
  • Potting Media: Very free-draining, mineral-based mix. Shallow pots suit the growth habit.
  • Feeding: Minimal feeding during active growth only. Excess fertiliser can cause soft, stretched growth.

WA, TAS & NT: Thursday 11:59 pm cut-off for Friday treatment. Orders are generally prepared from Monday and dispatched by Thursday. Allow up to 10 working days for treatment, certification and processing.

Dispatch dates are not guaranteed and may be affected by biosecurity requirements, weather, public holidays, order volumes and plant preparation.

Express Shipping speeds up transit after dispatch only. It does not speed up processing, treatment or certification.

Biosecurity Fees:

  • WA & TAS: $20 per order
  • NT: $10 per order

Fees are included at checkout and help cover mandatory plant treatment and health certification.

Important:

Where certification is required, a physical address must be supplied for traceability. Delivery to a PO Box is still allowed.
