Distinctive Features
- Leaves: Large, round to oval-shaped leaves with a velvety texture due to fine hairs covering the surface. The leaves are typically dark green with lighter veins.
- Flowers: Produces ball-shaped clusters of fuzzy, bell-shaped flowers that are typically a pale yellow or cream color with a reddish-brown center. The flowers have a light, sweet fragrance.
- Growth Habit: This Hoya is a vining plant that can climb or trail. It can be grown in a hanging basket or with a support to climb, such as a trellis or moss pole.
Care Tips
- Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Avoid harsh direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
- Water: Allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Avoid overwatering, which can lead to root rot.
- Humidity: This Hoya appreciates moderate to high humidity. You can increase humidity by using a humidifier, placing the plant on a pebble tray, or misting the leaves regularly.
