Hoya celata
release_alert Low Stock - 2 available
Hoya celata is an uncommon Hoya species producing rounded clusters of creamy white flowers. Each bloom has softly textured, slightly fuzzy petals surrounding a smaller star-shaped corona, giving the flower cluster a dense, sculptural appearance.
The foliage and growth habit are typical of a climbing or trailing Hoya, making it suitable for a small trellis, hanging pot or support. Flowering plants may produce repeated umbels from established flower spurs, so these should not be removed after flowering.
Care
- Light: Provide bright, filtered light. Some gentle morning sun may encourage stronger growth and flowering.
- Water: Water thoroughly, then allow the media to begin drying before watering again. Avoid keeping the roots constantly wet.
- Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity with regular air movement.
- Media: Use a coarse, free-draining Hoya mix with plenty of air around the roots.
- Temperature: Best grown in warm conditions. Protect from cold temperatures and sudden temperature changes.
- Fertiliser: Apply a weak, balanced fertiliser during active growth.
- Support: Allow the stems to trail or provide a trellis for climbing growth.
