Hoya curtisii ‘Thailand Form’ is a beautifully patterned miniature species with dense, trailing stems and silver-flecked leaves. This form is known for its exceptional variegation patterns and its delicate clusters of creamy, fuzzy flowers with pink-purple centres. A perfect choice for collectors wanting a compact Hoya with standout foliage.
Key Characteristics
- Foliage: Tiny heart-shaped leaves heavily marked with silver, forming a thick trailing mat over time.
- Flowers: Soft cream, lightly fuzzy blooms with deep pink to purple centres, produced in rounded clusters.
- Growth habit: Slow-growing, shingling or trailing depending on support; ideal for small pots or draping displays.
- Flowering behaviour: Blooms reliably when given warmth and strong, indirect light.
- Further reading: Encourage flowering using our Faster Growth & Better Flowers guide.
Growing Conditions
- Light: Bright, indirect light is essential to keep the silver markings strong and crisp.
- Water: Allow the top of the mix to dry between waterings. Avoid overwatering, as the small leaves can be prone to rot if constantly moist.
- Humidity: Appreciates moderate humidity but adapts to typical indoor levels.
- Temperature: Warm-growing and well suited to indoor or protected outdoor settings.
- Helpful resource: Improve root development with our Understanding Hoya Roots guide.
