Hoya endauensis is a rare and character-filled species recognised for its bright orange flowers with deep red centres. It’s an excellent choice for collectors who enjoy unusual, bold-coloured Hoyas that grow reliably in warm indoor conditions.
Key Characteristics
- Flowers: Distinctive, rounded orange blooms with rich burgundy centres – one of the more striking colour contrasts in the genus.
- Foliage: Clean green leaves with a smooth texture; compact and tidy growth habit.
- Growth habit: Medium-growing vine suited to small trellises or hanging pots.
- Flowering behaviour: Produces tight clusters when given consistent warmth and light.

Growing Conditions
- Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. A few hours of gentle morning light helps trigger flowering.
- Water: Allow the top layer of soil to dry between waterings. Avoid overwatering, as this species prefers good airflow around the roots.
- Humidity: Enjoys moderate humidity but adapts easily to typical indoor environments.
- Temperature: Prefers warm conditions and should be protected from cold drafts.
- Helpful resource: Improve root health and stability with our Understanding Hoya Roots guide.
Where This Hoya Works Best
- Collectors seeking a unique, brightly coloured flowering species.
- Indoor trellises, warm sunrooms or spaces with strong filtered light.
