Hoya heuschkeliana 'Albomarginata'
release_alert Low Stock - 2 available
Hoya heuschkeliana 'Albomarginata' is native to the Philippines and admired for its gently cascading stems, creamy-margined foliage, and clusters of dainty, bell-shaped flowers. This cultivar is a variegated form of the species and thrives as a compact trailing houseplant or in hanging baskets.
Distinctive Features
- Leaf Margins: Pale or creamy-white variegation outlines each leaf, enhancing the plant's ornamental value.
- Flowers: Produces clusters of pink to yellow, urn-shaped blooms with a soft fragrance; typically appear in warm conditions.
- Growth Habit: A compact, trailing vine with a softly arching habit, making it ideal for confined spaces or small containers.
Care Tips
- Light: Bright, indirect light encourages strong variegation; avoid direct sun which may scorch the leaves.
- Water: Allow the potting mix to dry slightly between waterings; reduce watering during the cooler months.
- Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity but tolerates typical indoor conditions with occasional misting.
- Media: Use a well-aerated, fast-draining mix with bark, perlite, and some organic matter.
- Temperature: Thrives between 18–28°C; protect from frost and cold drafts.
- Fertiliser: Feed monthly during active growth with a balanced, low-nitrogen liquid fertiliser.
- Repotting: Repot every 2–3 years or when root-bound, preferably in spring.
