Hoya inflata – Flowering Specimen Plant – H249
release_alert Low Stock - 1 available
This is a mature specimen of Hoya inflata, a lesser-seen species known for its unusual inflated, cup-shaped flowers. The pale cream to yellow blooms have pointed lobes and a distinctly sculptural appearance quite unlike the flat, star-shaped flowers of most Hoyas.
The plant shown in the specimen photograph is the exact plant offered for sale. It has long, established trailing vines and was carrying multiple developing flower clusters when photographed.
Flowers and buds may finish or drop before the plant is dispatched. The plant is not guaranteed to be flowering when received.
Care
- Light: Bright, indirect light with gentle morning sun. Protect from harsh afternoon sun.
- Water: Water thoroughly, then allow the growing medium to dry partially before watering again. Avoid keeping the roots continually wet.
- Temperature: Best grown under warm, stable conditions. Protect from cold temperatures and sudden changes.
- Growing medium: Use an open, free-draining epiphytic mix that provides plenty of air around the roots.
- Humidity and airflow: Moderate to high humidity is beneficial, but good airflow remains important.
- Feeding: Apply a balanced fertiliser lightly during active growth.

Specimen Plant Information
This listing is for the exact plant photographed. It is a mature, established plant with long vines rather than a small cutting or recently established starter plant.
Mature specimen Hoyas naturally develop bare sections, previous flowering points and minor marks on their leaves and stems. Long vines may also move or sustain minor tip damage during transport. The plant will be packed carefully, but completely preventing movement during delivery is not possible.
The additional flower photographs are included as a reference to show the characteristic flowers of this species.
