Hoya kentiana – H045
release_alert Low Stock - 1 available
Hoya kentiana is a climbing species from Luzon in the Philippines. It produces long, narrow green leaves that may develop darker margins when grown in good light.
Mature plants produce rounded clusters of waxy pink to reddish-purple flowers. Its narrow foliage and trailing stems make it well suited to hanging baskets or a small trellis.
Plants are supplied for their foliage and are not guaranteed to be flowering at the time of purchase.
Care
- Light: Grow in bright, filtered light. Some gentle morning sun can encourage stronger growth and darker leaf margins.
- Water: Water thoroughly, then allow the growing media to dry partly before watering again. Avoid leaving the roots constantly wet.
- Temperature: Best grown in warm conditions. Protect from frost, cold draughts and prolonged low temperatures.
- Growing Media: Use an open, free-draining mix that provides good airflow around the roots.
- Feeding: Apply a dilute, balanced fertiliser during active growth.
- Support: Allow the stems to trail or provide a trellis for climbing growth.
