Flowers - 25 mm chocolate flowers in clusters of 5 or more with many clusters per stem, flowers open one to two at a time.
Position - Needs to be under cover in a stable environment. Grows well indoors but produces only occasional flowers.
Temperature - Moderate, this species must be protected from frost and kept dryer in winter. Can adapt to cold climates if protected from the worst of the weather.
Water - Keep dryer in winter in colder climates and moist in warmer months. In tropical climates reduce watering in summer to promote more flowers.
Fertilizer - Weak dose regularly in warmer months
Repotting - Only when plant is well advanced in pot or mid Spring to Late Summer. Growth is rapid so plant can be trimmed to shape when required or allowed to grow to any size.
