Hoya carnosa Krinkle Giant 'Splash' is an impressive cultivar native to Eastern Asia and Australia’s tropical margins. This variation is particularly admired for its oversized, crinkled leaves generously flecked with silver splash patterns—an eye-catching twist on a classic wax plant. It’s a slow-growing epiphyte that shines in hanging baskets or trained as a climbing specimen.

Distinctive Features

  • Textured Leaves: Broad, deeply dimpled foliage with a pronounced crinkle effect.
  • Silvery Splashes: Each leaf bears irregular, shimmery splash variegation that enhances its visual appeal.
  • Robust Habit: Vigorous vining structure that matures into a substantial, trailing or climbing plant over time.

Care Tips

  • Light: Bright indirect light encourages stronger variegation and compact growth. Tolerates some morning sun.
  • Water: Allow the potting mix to nearly dry out between waterings. Avoid soggy conditions.
  • Humidity: Thrives in moderate to high humidity. Will adapt to normal indoor levels but prefers extra moisture in the air.
  • Media: Use a free-draining, chunky aroid mix or orchid bark blend with added perlite.
  • Temperature: Best kept between 16–28 °C. Protect from temperatures below 10 °C.
  • Fertiliser: Apply a diluted balanced fertiliser every 4–6 weeks during active growth (spring to early autumn).
  • Repotting: Repot every 2–3 years or when roots begin to circle the pot. Avoid overpotting.

  • Dispatch Day: All orders are dispatched on Tuesdays.
  • Cut-off for Same Week Dispatch: Orders must be placed by Monday 7am (AEST) to be sent that week. Orders placed after this will be dispatched the following Tuesday.

WA, NT & TAS Orders

  • Cut-off: Orders to WA, NT and TAS must be placed by Friday 7am (AEST) to be included in the following week’s dispatch.
  • Treatment & Delay: These orders require biosecurity treatment and certification, which is completed each Friday. Please allow an additional 1–2 weeks for processing.

Plant Health Certification (PHAC) Fees

  • $20 fee applies to WA orders.
  • $10 fee applies to NT and TAS orders.
  • This fee is per order (not per plant) and is included in your shipping cost at checkout.
