Hoya mathilde 'Splash' is a charming epiphytic hybrid originating from the cross between Hoya carnosa and Hoya serpens. It is celebrated for its shimmering silver-splashed foliage and clusters of starry, soft-textured flowers with a light, pleasant fragrance.

Distinctive Features

• Foliage: Small, round to oval leaves covered in silvery splash markings, adding a marbled elegance.
• Flowers: Soft, fuzzy, pale pink corollas with deep pink-red centres; blooms form in tight umbels and are lightly perfumed.
• Growth habit: Compact trailing or cascading vine; ideal for hanging baskets or mounted culture.

Care Tips

• Light: Prefers bright, indirect light; can tolerate some morning sun but avoid harsh afternoon rays.
• Water: Water thoroughly when the top third of the potting mix is dry; reduce watering in cooler months.
• Humidity: Appreciates moderate to high humidity; misting or pebble trays can be beneficial indoors.
• Media: Use a free-draining, airy mix such as orchid bark with perlite and a small amount of peat or coco coir.
• Temperature: Thrives between 18–26 °C; protect from frost and cold drafts.
