Hoya polyneura albomarginata – H261

Hoya polyneura albomarginata is a variegated form of the much-loved Fishtail Hoya, prized for its distinctive foliage and elegant growth habit. Each leaf displays the characteristic fishbone venation of the species, highlighted by crisp cream margins that contrast beautifully against the soft green centres.

Unlike many variegated Hoyas, this form retains the graceful appearance that made Hoya polyneura famous while adding a refined edge variegation that enhances every leaf. As the plant matures, it develops into a cascading specimen ideal for hanging baskets and display shelves.

Care

• Light: Bright indirect light. Avoid harsh afternoon sun.
• Water: Keep lightly moist but allow the mix to partially dry between waterings.
• Temperature: Warm to intermediate growing; ideally 15–28°C.
• Humidity: Appreciates moderate to high humidity.
• Media: Open, free-draining Hoya mix with excellent aeration.
• Feeding: Apply a balanced fertiliser during active growth.

Important Information

Variegation levels vary naturally between leaves and growth points. New growth may emerge with increased cream colouring before maturing. Plants are selected for attractive marginal variegation but individual leaves will differ in pattern and intensity.
