Flowers

Hoya sigillatis ‘Alas River’ produces small rounded clusters of orange to reddish flowers with deeper centres. The flowers may have a light fragrance under warm conditions.

This specimen is sold as a mature plant and is not guaranteed to be flowering when purchased or dispatched. Any flowers or developing buds visible at the time of photography may finish or drop naturally before the plant is supplied.

Mature Plant Condition

This is a genuine mature specimen rather than a recently produced display plant. It has a mixture of younger leafy growth and much older, finer vines. Some of the older vines have long bare sections, previous flowering points and naturally weathered growth.

The foliage has age-related marking, discolouration, spotting and cosmetic imperfections. Some older leaves may also be shed as the plant continues to grow. These characteristics are visible in the photograph and should be expected in a specimen of this age and size.

Care

• Light: Bright, indirect light. Good filtered light helps maintain the silver foliage patterning. Avoid harsh midday sun.
• Water: Allow most of the potting mix to dry before watering again. Its fine roots respond best to a consistent watering rhythm.
• Temperature: Prefers stable warmth between 18–30 °C.
• Humidity: Moderate humidity supports foliage quality and active growth.
• Potting mix: Use a chunky, airy and free-draining Hoya mix.
• Fertiliser: Feed lightly and regularly during active growth in the warmer months.

Transporting a Large Specimen

We will pack this plant carefully, but its numerous fine vines cannot be individually secured. Some leaf loss, tangled or displaced vines and minor stem breakage may occur during transport.

The vines will need to be unpacked slowly and carefully rearranged after arrival. Please consider this before purchasing. Minor cosmetic or transport damage does not affect the established nature or long-term value of this specimen.
