Hoya soidaoensis – Mature Specimen Plant – H257
release_alert Low Stock - 1 available
This is a mature specimen of Hoya soidaoensis, a rarely offered species originally described from Khao Soi Dao in southeastern Thailand. It develops narrow green leaves along fine climbing stems, with older growth becoming long and freely trailing.
The plant shown in the photograph is the exact plant offered for sale. This is a one-off, established specimen with numerous long vines, active growing points and many persistent flower peduncles.
The presence of established peduncles shows that the plant has reached flowering maturity. However, it is not guaranteed to be flowering when dispatched.
Care
- Light: Bright, filtered light with protection from harsh direct sun.
- Water: Water thoroughly, then allow the growing medium to dry partially before watering again.
- Temperature: Best grown under warm to intermediate conditions. Protect from cold temperatures.
- Growing medium: Use an open, free-draining epiphytic mix with good airflow around the roots.
- Humidity and airflow: Moderate to high humidity is beneficial, provided the plant receives consistent air movement.
- Feeding: Apply a balanced fertiliser lightly during active growth.

Specimen Plant Information
This listing is for the exact plant photographed. It is a mature, flowering-size plant rather than a recently established cutting. Its long vines may be trained around a support or allowed to trail naturally.
Older specimen Hoyas naturally develop bare stem sections, previous flowering points, uneven growth and minor marks on their leaves and stems. Do not remove the old peduncles, as these may produce flowers again in future seasons.
The long vines will be carefully gathered for packing. Some movement, displaced leaves or minor stem-tip damage may occur during transport despite careful preparation.
