Lophocereus schottii, also known as Pachycereus schottii, is a distinctive columnar cactus with upright, bluish-green stems and sparse spines. Established plants can branch from the base and gradually form impressive multi-stemmed clumps.

Care

• Light: Full sun to very bright light. Introduce stronger direct sun gradually.
• Water: Water thoroughly when dry during the warmer months.
• Winter: Keep almost dry during cool weather.
• Temperature: Warm-growing. Protect from frost and prolonged cold.
• Media: Plant in a coarse, free-draining cactus mix.
• Fertiliser: Apply a diluted, low-nitrogen cactus fertiliser during active growth.
