- Spines: Densely-packed, white or yellowish spines that give the cactus a pincushion-like appearance. The spines are relatively short and harmless.

Care Tips

- Water: Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so it's important to be cautious.
- Soil: Use a well-draining cactus or succulent potting mix. You can also add perlite or pumice to improve drainage.
- Temperature: Tolerates a wide range of temperatures, from cool nights to hot days. However, it's best to protect it from frost.
- Fertiliser: Use a diluted cactus fertiliser once a month during the growing season (spring and summer).
- Propagation: This cactus can be propagated through offsets or seeds. Offsets can be carefully removed and potted up, while seeds can be sown in a well-draining seed-starting mix.
