Gentle is a hybrid of N. fusca and maxima and is relatively easily grown. Nepenthes are extraordinary plants that have adapted to feeding on insects through amazingly designed passive traps. Nepenthes are found through the Asian with some occurring in Australia.

Lowland varieties require warm conditions and highland forms can tolerate colder conditions.

Position - Gentle is bred from tropical species that requires a warm protected position and will not do well outdoors in colder climates, will do well in moister environments and in terrariums.

Watering - Maintaining constant moisture is crucial for Nepenthes survival; any drying out can be fatal. Placing the pots in water can help prevent them from drying out.

Feeding - 25% of recommended dosage two to three times in the growing season is all that is required.

Repotting - can be left to overgrow their pots, or repotted in late winter, potting mix must be of peat or sphagnum moss with none or little sand in the mix.
