Oncidium Twinkle Red

Oncidium Twinkle Red is a miniature orchid hybrid known for producing masses of small, fragrant red to deep burgundy flowers along branched inflorescences. The flowers are typically long-lasting and may carry a sweet scent. Plants form tight clumps of pseudobulbs with narrow, upright leaves and are well suited to smaller spaces or mounted culture. Flowering often occurs in response to seasonal shifts and good light levels.

Care Tips:

• Light: Bright, filtered light is ideal. Some gentle morning sun may enhance flowering.
• Water: Maintain even moisture during growth. Allow the top of the media to dry slightly between waterings.
• Humidity: Enjoys humidity around 50–70%, with good airflow.
• Media: Fine to medium orchid bark or sphagnum moss, ensuring good drainage.
• Temperature: Intermediate growing range, ideally between 14–26 °C.
• Fertiliser: Use diluted orchid fertiliser every two weeks during the growing season. Flush the media occasionally to prevent salt build-up.
• Repotting: Repot every 1–2 years or once the medium begins to degrade. Best done after flowering.
