Pachypodium rosulatum subsp. cactipes, known as Elephant's Foot Cactus, originates from Madagascar. Noted for its compact, spherical caudex and lush, glossy foliage, it is distinct from other Pachypodium species, offering a unique and captivating aesthetic.
Distinctive Features
- Caudex: Compact, spherical to globose, silver-grey caudex providing structural interest and water storage capabilities.
- Leaves: Dark green, glossy leaves with white undersides and revolute margins, arranged in rosettes at branch tips; leaves drop during dry seasons.
- Flowers: Canary-yellow, open-faced flowers, appearing in clusters atop long inflorescences, usually blooming during warmer seasons.
Care Tips
